This issue marks the third edition of our tribute to the Top 25 EB-5 Attorneys, and the first time we will include the Top 25 Attorneys feature in our Chinese edition. We are honored to recognize the efforts of leading EB-5 immigration, corporate and securities attorneys. I want to thank the community members who participated in the polling process.
For the first time, we also profile a selection of business plan writers and economists who have demonstrated continued commitment to the industry. Without any formal ranking or voting, we want to recognize their involvement in the EB-5 space and create a quick reference guide for readers. Though much of their work is behind-the-scenes, the efforts of these specialists are integral to the EB-5 application process.
This issue of EB5 Investors Magazine arrives at a pivotal time in the industry. The Chinese visa backlog remains a key issue, and attorneys Matt Galati and Jennifer Hermansky discuss relevant retrogression concerns. Also, there are articles in this issue written by professionals that aim to create more transparency and protect EB-5 applicants.
We also have a recap and pictures from a few noteworthy events, including our July event in New York City with over 700 stakeholders and keynote speeches by Congressman Will Hurd and Congressman Hakeem Jeffries. In China, we hosted the Shanghai Investment & Immigration Expo where we had a strong migration agent presence. EB5 Investors Magazine also hosted an event in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in March. Inside, you’ll find articles with pictures from these spectacular events and a summary of each to fill you in with the details.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for November 2016. The China Investor Magazine – which is affiliated with EB5 Investors Magazine – will launch the 2016 Private Equity and Real Estate Opportunities Forum. The event will initiate this new platform’s focus on investment education for Chinese investors to understand their options by bringing together some of the very best professionals in the industry to speak, with a full day of networking and panels.
