EB5 Investors returns to Mumbai for successful expo on immigration options

By EB5 Investors Magazine Staff

EB5 Investors Magazine returned to Mumbai, India, this spring for a successful conference that assembled a who’s who crowd in one of the world’s most in-demand investment immigration markets.

Nearly 400 attendees came to the June 1 EB-5 Immigration Expo, staged at the prestigious St. Regis Mumbai hotel, to hear presentations given professional panelists, to learn about sponsors in the Exhibitor Hall or to discover EB-5 investment projects in the U.S.

Among the attendees were migration agencies, immigration attorneys, EB-5 service providers, regional centers and project developers from across the world. Panel topics included the latest news on EB-5 legislation and the marketplace, source of funds documentation and due-diligence best practices. Other panels focused on world investment immigration programs as organized by EB5 Investors’ sister publication, Uglobal Immigration Magazine.

The conference came as Indian interest in EB-5 visas grows while other options, particularly the H-1B visa, dwindle for Indians. The number of approved EB-5 visas for India-born nationals has grown more than four-fold over the last four years, according to U.S. Department State data. Simultaneously, the amount of India millionaires is also growing and is expected to rise by 65% by 2020. This growth is fueling interest in investment immigration.

EB5 Investors Magazine is returning to Mumbai for a second time this year on Oct. 12. The magazine will also be staging events in Los Angeles in July, and in South Korea and Vietnam in September.
