Jason Jia

Jason Jia is the founder and Managing Partner of Jia Law Group (JLG), a New York–headquartered law firm serving businesses, investors, entrepreneurs, and individuals in complex immigration, litigation, corporate, and cross-border matters. Since founding JLG in 2018, he has led the firm’s growth into a multidisciplinary practice serving clients across the United States and internationally.

Jia has developed particular experience in EB-5 investor immigration, advising investors throughout the full EB-5 process. His work includes project and investment due diligence, source and path-of-funds analysis, I-526 and I-526E petitions, I-485 adjustment of status and concurrent filings, consular processing through the National Visa Center (NVC), and I-829 petitions. He has represented investors in both regional center and direct investment matters and has also handled EB-5-related litigation and other complex matters arising throughout the immigration process.

As Managing Partner, he also leads JLG’s broader cross-border practice and advises businesses, investors, and high-net-worth families on matters at the intersection of immigration, corporate structuring, investment, and commercial disputes. His clients have included biotechnology companies, financial institutions, family offices, technology companies, hospitality businesses, real estate companies, and other multinational and domestic enterprises.

Jia has also been an early advocate for using AI in legal practice. In 2024, he co-founded Unfold Legal AI, an initiative focused on applying generative AI to legal research, drafting, and case analysis. The project was selected for the “American Immigration Lawyers Association’s 2025 Innovators’ Spotlight.” His work in this area reflects his broader interest in leveraging technology and redesigned workflows to improve legal service delivery.

In 2025, he was elected to the Board of Trustees of Brooklyn Law School, his alma mater. He previously established the Jason Jia and Professor Barbara Gartner Scholarship to support students for whom English is not a first language and was recognized by Brooklyn Law School as a Rising Star in 2020 for his professional achievements and contributions to the law school community.

Jia received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. His professional memberships include the New York City Bar Association, the Asian American Bar Association of New York, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and the New York County Lawyers Association. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.
