The USCIS has announced I-956F approvals for Regional Center EB-5 projects, including Green Card Fund’s application for its Terra Vi Marble Canyon EB-5 nature lodge project in the Grand Canyon. It also approved CanAm Enterprises’ Long Ridge Natural Gas Well Development and Production project in a rural area in West Virginia.
Why do Regional Centers file I-956F forms for their EB-5 projects?
Among the integrity measures established by the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022 (RIA), the EB-5 program requires that Regional Centers file an I-956F for each of their EB-5 projects. This form provides the USCIS with detailed information about the project, from its investment structure and security to job creation requirements and whether it meets a rural or urban TEA designation.
The I-956F form must be filed before the Regional Center makes any public project offer.
This form’s approval confirms the project’s business plan, job creation strategy, and the Regional Center’s commitment to providing its EB-5 investors with multiple investment options.
EB-5 investors can request a copy of the USCIS receipt notice from the regional center to determine if an I-956F was filed.
