How can a business attracts EB-5 investors?

How can a business attracts EB-5 investors? And what would the first step be if a business would like to become a Regional Center? I have a Property Management company which deals with buying of properties and turning them into an income producing product.

The EB-5 program is not only about having an income producing product. You also need to create 10 full time jobs per investor. Buying and selling properties does not create full time jobs. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you.

This is a frequently asked question. You need to have a good business plan that makes sense to ordinary investors. You also will need a foreign migration broker. For your business model, you should consult an attorney first. Your model does not sounds good for EB-5.

You will need to begin marketing efforts to migration agencies, attorneys and financial consultants that may be able to refer foreign investors to you. If you have an interest to become a regional center you should first consult with an experienced EB-5 attorney, to consider suitability. For further information please contact Rahbaran & Associates.

If you plan to become a Regional Center, you will need to obtain a Regional Center designation from USCIS and have your specific project(s) within the Regional Center approved by USCIS. You then engage the services of overseas EB-5 marketing brokers to attract potential EB-5 investors. It is important to engage the services of an immigration attorney to discuss your objectives. Generally, setting up a Regional Center involves a team of professionals, such as an immigration attorney, economist, accountant, and marketing agents. It is possible to use an established Regional Center for a fee.

The first step is to sit down with a qualified EB-5 Service provider, such as the attorneys on this list. The EB-5 Program is too complex for you to try to figure out on your own. Your company may have issues with the timing of when EB-5 funds are released and you should make sure that this (and other aspects of the EB-5 Program) will work within your business model.

You need to develop a business plan and then a strategy for investment structure under EB-5 criteria. Then you can determine if a Regional Center designation is of value.

You would need to apply for designation as a regional center and have your specific projects approved. Then you may market your regional center project to potential EB-5 investors. Having a good marketing plan is crucial, especially when marketing in China.
