Ismael Fernandez is an EB-5 economist, and the founder and president of Greengate Consulting, LLC, which operates out of Atlanta, Georgia. The company is dedicated to guiding and preparing small firms for the establishment of operations in the United States. Greengate also prepares domestic developers for accepting foreign capital under the EB-5 program. Mr. Fernandez has experience producing both EB-5 economic impact analyses and Matter of Ho-compliant EB-5 business plans.

Mr. Fernandez possesses five years of expertise in business immigration alone and another eight years in roles requiring intensive analytical, verbal and communications skills. He previously co-founded and served as chief operating officer of the Foreign Investor Resource Group. Under his direction, the firm assisted numerous regional centers in readying projects for the acceptance of EB-5 capital, and also helped hundreds of foreign investors enter the U.S. economy.

Throughout his career, Mr. Fernandez has managed the forecasting activities for General Electric’s largest inventory ($1 billion) on gas turbine spare parts. He was also the leader of the portfolio risk group for GE’s largest P&L, and developed the technology valuation and selection methods now being used in companies such as SIEMENS.

Mr. Fernandez is a published author, with his work including a text on the assessment of flexibility using real options and the valuation of technology. He has extensive knowledge in the fields of risk management, financial accounting, and strategic decision-making. Mr. Fernandez earned his M.B.A., along with his PhD in Aerospace Engineering, from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
