Immigration AttorneyThe regional center program has been temporarily extended until Dec. 11, 2015. More information will be available thereafter unless Congress acts sooner.
I am wondering about the current status of the EB-5 regional center option. Was the program extended after Sept. 30, 2015? If it was, and I make an investment within the next few weeks, how much will I have to invest?
The regional center program has been temporarily extended until Dec. 11, 2015. More information will be available thereafter unless Congress acts sooner.
The program is under a "continuing resolution" until Dec. 11. The laws technically remain in effect, but no one is sure if a new law will wipe out any investment made between Oct. 1 and Dec. 11, or require additional investment funds.
The EB-5 program has been extended until Dec. 11 without change. It is likely that at that time many of the proposed changes will be implemented (but no one knows for sure) including an increase to the investment amount required.
The Congress passed a "continuing resolution" which means everything will stay in place until Dec. 11. So the investment numbers stay the same.
The EB-5 Regional Center Pilot Program was recently extended to Dec. 11, 2015, unchanged. There may be changes to come, but at this time the minimum investment amount remains $500,000 for projects located within a Targeted Employment or Rural Area.
Congress extended the EB-5 program as it was until Dec. 11, 2015. This means the previous program of the $500,000 investment and all other issues dealing with the regional center has been extended until then without any change. It is likely that the program will be extended once again, as is, until after the holidays, but we will have to see in December if Congress will do anything differently.
The program was extended to Dec. 11, 2015 in its current form. There are two bills in Congress that will reform EB-5 if passed. It would be wise to take advantage of the present legislation before Dec. 11, but certainly do not do so until you speak with counsel in the United States on the issues that you will face.
The program has been extended until Dec. 11, 2015 and indications are it will be extended beyond that. The investment amount remains the same, but may be raised with a longer term extension of the program. Talk is that instead of $500,000/$1 million, it will be $800,000/$1.2 million.
The program was extended for 10 weeks to Dec. 11, 2015. The minimum investment amount will likely go up soon, so I would try and file in the next month.
