How must a Regional Center keep investors’ records?

Does a Regional Center need to retain all investor filings, such as the I-526E and I-829 petitions? We lease our Regional Center designation to a project, but the investors and their attorneys have declined to provide complete I-526E filings due to privacy concerns. Could this affect our compliance obligations?

Most RCs I have worked with are not requesting entire petition copies, as investors are not comfortable sharing these. You should request their documents issued by USCIS in connection with the case (receipt, approval notice, green cards).

This would probably be an SEC regulation, and I don’t know the answer.
