How much will an I-829 petition cost for my family?

I just received my conditional green card through the EB-5 program. How much is the filing fee of the I-829 petition? How much more does it cost to file with my spouse and child? What problems may arise if my child is already older than 21 during the filing of the I-829 petition?

Currently, the filing fee for I-829 is $3,750 not including a biometric fee of $85 per each member of your family. Your child being over 21 should not be a problem when filing for removal of conditions.

The filing fee is $3,750. As long as your child has the conditional green card, it will not be a problem. There is a biometric fee of $85 for each person.

The current filing fee for the I-829 is $3,750. (Add $85 biometric fee for a total of $3,835. An additional biometric services fee of $85 must be paid for each conditional resident dependent). If your child turns 21 after you file your I-526 petition, it will be fine if he/she exceeds 21 years old when you file the I-829 petition.

The filing fee currently is $3835. As for attorney fees that will vary, you should contact the lawyer you intend to work with directly. If your child has a provisional green card, the I-829 should not be an issue, despite the fact he may now be over 21 years of age.

The current filing fee for I-829 is $3,750. There is only one I-829 petition filed for you. While your spouse and your child will be listed as derivatives on that petition, only one filing and one filing fee is necessary, as it was in I-526.

Please contact our office to learn more about legal fees associated with the I-829. No problems should arise from the fact that your child is over the age of 21.

The I-829 filing fee covers the entire family, but each family member will also pay a separate biometrics fee (currently $85). The age 21 limit applies to filing the I-526 petition only. Your child could have turned 21 the day after filing the I-526 and you''d be okay.

This is on a case by case basis, but you can expect to need a minimum of $5000.
