Scott A. Harshman is a tax attorney. He currently is a partner at Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Mitchell, LLP (JMBM), a full-service law firm with offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Orange County, California.
Established more than 35 years ago, JMBM provides its individual and organizational clients with a wide spectrum of legal services. Its scope of practice covers several fields of law, including taxation, corporate, entertainment, environmental, labor and employment, intellectual property, litigation, and real estate.
With more than 20 years of experience, Harshman uses his expertise in tax and business planning to help high net worth individuals optimize their individual and corporate taxation, business succession and immigration strategies.
Harshman joined JMBM in 2007 and founded the firm’s international tax group. He focuses his practice on taxation, estate and wealth transfer planning, as well as trust and probate administration. He advises the firm’s international clients on tax minimization solutions.
Prior to joining JMBM, Harshman worked as the counsel at Greenberg Traurig, where he handled tax and wealth transfer planning.
Harshman is a certified specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law by the California Board of Specialization. He obtained his master’s degree in taxation from the University of San Diego, and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, California.
