Behring Regional Center (formerly known as Berkeley Regional Center Fund, LLC) became a USCIS-designated regional center in June 2014, became a USCIS-designated regional center in June 2014, with an approved geographic scope encompassing the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Solano in the state of California. The regional center has received USCIS approval to operate in industries such as residential building construction, land subdivision, architectural, engineering, & related services, and lessors of real estate, among several other categories.

Located in the San Francisco Bay area, Behring Regional Center approaches each EB-5 investment with a simple strategy: simple investment structure, guaranteed construction start and job creation, construction completion guarantees, and corporate repayment guarantees. Behring Regional Center’s underlying goal is to syndicate, monitor, and verify EB-5 activities on behalf of investors and developers.

As a member of the Behring Companies family, the regional center is one part of a nearly 60 year old group dedicated to the development of and investment in luxury real estate around the globe. Since its inception, the Behring family of companies has developed more than 16 golf course communities and 5000 residential units, and has sold over $2 billion of valuable property. Behring’s many philanthropic endeavors include the Global Health and Education Foundation, with programs such as Operation Global Vision, Wheelchair Foundation, and Water Leaders.

At the head of the Behring Companies executive team is the CEO and founder, Colin Behring, with experience working in U.S. and China investment and development since 2006. He was previously the managing director of the property development company Behring Group, Ltd. In this capacity, Mr. Behring played a key role in construction management and design coordination for the Sanctuary at Dongtan, a 330-acre master-planned golf course community project with a total cost estimated at more than $1.2 billion.

Mr. Behring also headed numerous investment initiatives based in China, and was one of the initial U.S. developers to undertake senior living communities in that region. He earned his Business Administration degree with a finance concentration from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, and is bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English.
