American Gateway Regional Centers (AGRC) is an EB-5 Regional Center located in Southern California, specializing in EB-5 immigration, property development, real estate management, and business investment. AGRC became a USCIS-designated regional center in July 2011. Its geographic scope includes the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties in the state of California.

Through the EB-5 immigration program, AGRC provides foreign investors and their families the opportunity to invest, live, work, study and retire in the United States. AGRC’s projects comprise investments in real estate and businesses in a variety of industries, including accommodation, food services, professional offices, banking and insurance, retail trade, health club, assisted living, medical offices, and construction.

The professionals at AGRC work closely with their foreign investors throughout the EB-5 application process, from providing counsel and support for completing forms, to guidance on various exit strategies after their clients’ receive their permanent resident status in the United States. Jim Turco is the president and co-founder of American Gateway Regional Center. Turco has over 30 years of experience, holding senior and executive positions in sales, marketing, operations, and mergers and acquisitions at NASDAQ and NYSE listed firms. In 2006, Turco founded the luxury real estate brokerage firm Surterre Properties, Inc., located in Newport Beach, Calif. Over the years, Surterre has generated over $8 billion in real estate transactions and currently comprises 350 agents with six offices in Orange County. In 2010, Turco and his partner, Margaret Cheng Turco, created American Gateway Regional Centers, LLC, where he serves as president.

Margaret Cheng is the vice president and co-founder of American Gateway Regional Center. Cheng, born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, has deep family ties to Shanghai and Beijing. She previously served as director of a well-known international pharmaceutical company, and owned and operated a successful import/export company. In 2003, Cheng transitioned to real estate and immediately experienced huge successes in both residential and commercial sales. Cheng is well-respected for her knowledge and expertise of real estate markets, and frequently provides real estate consulting services for Asian immigrants. In 2010, Cheng and Turco founded American Gateway Regional Centers, LLC, where she currently serves as vice president. In 2012, Cheng founded Universal Gateway P.E. Fund, and currently serves as president.
