James M. Lee is the co-founder and managing partner of the 30+ lawyer national litigation boutique, LTL Attorneys LLP. His practice focuses on complex business litigation matters, including matters related to EB-5 investor disputes. More specifically, he represented a Chinese investor/hedge fund manager and his family against an investment center and its attorneys built with EB-5 investment funds.
In addition, Lee has handled high-profile complex litigation matters that received national media attention. For example, he was lead counsel to the founder of Snapchat in a lawsuit over ownership claims against the social media app’s co-founders, with the case settling under confidential terms. Based in California, LTL Attorneys LLP has offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Francisco and focuses solely on complex litigation, arbitrations, and trials.
The firm handles matters across the United States and represents global companies and entrepreneurs. Prior to co-founding LTL Attorneys, Lee was a litigator with two international firms – Quinn Emanuel and Morgan Lewis. He has taught trial advocacy at Stanford Law School, from which he received his Juris Doctor in 1997. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Lee has received Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent rating (5.0), the highest rating possible for attorneys. He is actively admitted to the California State Bar.
