Xiaomin (Samantha) Hu is the managing attorney and founder of the Law Office of Xiaomin Hu. She is vastly experienced in immigration matters involving employment and investment, focusing on permanent residence options for employment-based immigration visas, including EB1A, EB-1C, EB2, EB3, and EB-5, as well as nonimmigrant petitions for multinational managers and executives, professional workers and investors such as L-1, H-1B, and E.
Before starting an immigration practice, Hu worked for a full-service international firm in both Shanghai and Miami. She has experience in counseling and representing international corporate clients in cases involving disputes in compliance, contracts, investigation, investments and employment. Hu honed her legal skills at a boutique immigration firm that had locations in Los Angeles and Orange County. There, she assisted several clients of various backgrounds with immigrant and non-immigrant petitions. She is also a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.
Hu is well-versed in investor representation, as well as assisting in the preparation of immigrant visa and adjustment of status applications. She obtained a Juris Doctor degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School. Before that, she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Law degree from Xi’an University of Technology (XUT). While attending law school, Hu participated in the Rex E. Lee Moot Court Team as well as the Trial Advocacy Program. Further, she served as the international managing editor for the Brigham Young University International Law and Management Review. Hu is currently a member of both the American Immigration Lawyer Association and the Orange County Women Lawyer Association. She speaks fluent English and Chinese.
