Parisa Karaahmet, an immigration attorney at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, leads a team specializing in EB-5 immigrant investor and entrepreneurial visas. She previously served as an assistant district counsel and acting deputy district counsel for the New York district of the Immigration & Naturalization Service. Ms. Karaahmet has guest lectured at Cardozo Law School and presented at the Judicial Institute at Pace University. She often speaks at national conferences on immigration issues and has presented at panel events sponsored by organizations such as the American Bar Association and the Practicing Law Institute. Ms. Karaahmet chairs the Practicing Law Institute’s annual conference, Defending Removal Proceedings, and has served as co-chair of the ABA Immigration Litigation. She has provided immigration advice on a pro bono basis to numerous individuals and organizations, including Human Rights First.
