Angelo A Paparelli

Angelo A. Paparelli, a partner in the 850-lawyer firm Seyfarth Shaw, LLP, practices immigration law in Los Angeles and New York. His practice covers the full scope of immigration law issues, with a special focus on business-related immigration law, and the representation of regional centers and project developers participating in the EB-5 visa program. Attorney Paparelli’s immigration career spans more than 35 years and he has extensive experience assisting families and businesses to obtain immigration benefits, along with advising and defending employers in U.S. immigration compliance and enforcement actions.

Attorney Paparelli co-leads the multi-disciplinary EB-5 immigrant investment team at Seyfarth Shaw, LLP, which brings together EB-5 attorneys engaged in immigration, finance, securities and securities compliance, real estate, tax, lending, corporate and construction laws. The lead editor of “Forming and Operating an EB-5 Regional Center: A Guide for Developers and Business Innovators,” Paparelli is also a contributing author to “EB-5 Investors Magazine.” Attorney Paparelli founded and was the president of the Alliance of Business Immigration Lawyers, a global alliance of 40-leading immigration firms.

Attorney Paparelli has been ranked three times as the World’s Leading Corporate Immigration Lawyer in the annual peer rankings of the International “Who’s Who of Corporate Lawyers.” He has also achieved the highest rating, the Star Individual in Immigration Law, in several annual rankings by Chambers and Partners. A Certified Immigration and Nationality Law Specialist with the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, Paparelli is also the 2010 recipient of the Edith Lowenstein Award for advancing the practice of immigration law.

In 1971 Attorney Paparelli earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in 1976. He is licensed to practice law in the states of California, New York and Michigan.
