Ed Mofrad is an EB-5 accountant and the owner of Mofrad Financial Solutions, located in Los Angeles, Calif. The firm provides tax preparation support, as well personal and business financial planning services. Leading the firm for more than 20 years, Mofrad has experience working with business, individual, not-for-profit and off-shore clients. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Valuation Analyst.
Prior to becoming a tax professional, Mofrad worked for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Mofrad’s past experience also includes working in Thailand for three and a half years, during which time he taught Accounting/Finance at Bangkok & Assumption Universities. He also worked as a consultant for Ernst & Young, and as a senior analyst for a branch of Sun Hung Kai.
Mofrad has knowledge in accounting matters related to real estate transactions (investor, seller or buyer), and in areas such as special holding-company rules, capital gains and deferments. He also provides accounting services related to expatriate taxation, as well as EB-5 immigrant investors taxpayers, such as filing tax returns, immigration-process planning to minimize taxation, and more.
Mofrad’s community work includes coaching “Students Run LA” from 1998-04, a program that encourages “at risk” high school students to run the annual LA Marathon! He earned his B.S. in Accounting and his M.B.A. in Finance from Cal Poly Pomona.
