USCIS Will Offer Stakeholders Opportunity to Speak With EB-5 Staff Economists

Kate Kalmykov

On Monday, USCIS announced that it would be holding a stakeholder’s engagement on June 22, 2012 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm. The engagement will focus on the agency’s interpretation of economic methodologies used in EB-5 regional center cases.  This announcement comes in response to stakeholder requests made at the Conversation with USCIS Director Mayorkas event held in April of this year which focused on the tenant occupancy methodology.  It is expected that Director Mayorkas and the USCIS economists will address the new position that the agency has taken with respect to the tenant occupancy methodology at this event, as well other trends in job counting methodologies.  Interested stakeholders may RSVP for this event by emailing Public.Engagement@uscis.dhs.gov by Wednesday, June 20.
