Immigration attorney Miya Moore has joined Maynard Cooper & Gale’s Alabama office as an Associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment and Immigration practice groups. Moore specializes in non-immigrant visa petitions and employment-based immigrant visa categories. 

 

WR Immigration has appointed two new managing partners, Amanda Brown and Miki Matrician, to work out of its Boston office. Brown counsels multinational corporations in industries including finance and insurance on business immigration matters, whereas Matrician specializes in all aspects of employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant cases for multinational corporations, high-tech companies, startup entities and nonprofit organizations. 

 

Nine WR Immigration attorneys have been ranked by Who’s Who Legal for Corporate Immigration, including EB-5 verified immigration attorney Joseph Barnett and Managing Partner Bernard P. Wolfsdorf, who was named a Global Elite Thought Leader for the second consecutive year. Seven WR Immigration attorneys have also been listed in the Southern California 2022 edition of Best Lawyers. 

 

Immigration attorney Daniel Carpenter has been promoted to Senior Associate by Clark Lau LLC, an immigration law firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. Stephen Dunne and Molly O’Shea have also joined the firm as immigration associates. 

 

Immigration law and deportation defense attorney William Menard has been named a 2021 “Go-To Thought Leader” by The National Law Review for his blog posts on “Immigration Matters,” Norris McLaughlin’s immigration law blog. 

 

International tax attorney Patrick McCormick has joined Offit Kurman as a partner. Working out of the firm’s Philadelphia office, McCormick serves as a principal attorney in Offit Kurman’s Business Law & Transactions group. 

 

Raquel Liberman, Partner in Fragomen’s New York office, has been recognized as an honoree in Crain’s New York’s 2022 Notable Women in Law list.  

 

Charina Garcia, who is the strategy and innovation partner at WR Immigration, has been elected co-president of the Foundation for Filipina Women’s Network, the global organization for career women of Philippine ancestry.  

 

The immigration industry is saddened by the recent passing of Jerry Erickson, a 30-year industry veteran and the founder of Erickson Immigration Group (EIG), a full-service global firm with headquarters in Arlington, Virginia and San Francisco, California. 

 

Baker Donelson has announced the addition of 24 new associates across the firm. EB-5 verified attorney Robert Divine chairs the immigration group of the law firm. 

 

Michelle Gergerian, Partner and Practice Lead of the Global Immigration Group at Seyfarth Shaw LLP, has been named a 2021 Top Lawyer in the inaugural Top Lawyers List by Boston Magazine. 

 

Kutak Rock, LLP, a law firm with more than 500 attorneys across the U.S., has received the annual “Invested in Diversity” award for 2021 from U.S. Bank’s Law Division
