EB-5 visa dates remain unchanged in June visa bulletin

EB5Investors.com Staff

The June Visa Bulletin released by the U.S. Department of State (DOS) indicates that the final action and filing dates for EB-5 investors from India and China remain the same.

The final action dates are as follows:

· For Indian investors, it is May 1, 2019.

· For mainland Chinese investors, it is January 22, 2014.

The filing dates are the same:

· April 1, 2022, for Indian investors.

· October 1, 2016, for Chinese investors.

These dates experienced retrogression for the second time in May, due to rising demand and a spike in applications, leading to necessary adjustments to remain within the visa limits for fiscal year 2025.

Retrogression of dates serves as a method to manage visa issuance and prevent any single country from dominating the available visas.

Meanwhile, there are no backlog concerns for EB-5 set-aside categories (Rural, High-Employment Area, and Infrastructure).

However, the DOS has warned that this situation might change later in FY 2025, which concludes on September 20.

The final action and filing dates are essential for EB-5 applicants as they indicate visa availability.
