
AILA AWARDS ATTORNEYS
The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) has announced its 2024 Annual Awards at the AILA Annual Conference in Chicago. The winners included Allen Orr, who received the Advocacy Award for outstanding efforts in support of AILA’s advocacy agenda; Stephen Yale-Loehr, who got the Robert Juceam Founders Award, which is given to a person having the most substantial impact on the field of immigration law or policy; Rex Chen, who was awarded the Edith Lowenstein Memorial Award for excellence in advancing the practice of immigration law; Muñoz Litigation Team, awarded the Jack Wasserman Memorial Award for excellence in litigation; and Greg Siskind received the inaugural Technology & Innovation Award, in acknowledgment of his pioneering work leveraging technology to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and improve client service.
HOMEFED ANNOUNCES I-956F APPROVAL
HomeFed has announced a significant milestone achieved with the I-956F project approval for their 3rd Otay Ranch Project in Chula Vista, California. The I-956F approval from USCIS shows the project Côta Vera 2’s compliance with the latest requirements of the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program and the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act. HomeFed is approved to raise up to $249.6 million in EB-5 capital from more than 300 investors.
NEW VP FOR CMB REGIONAL CENTERS
CMB Regional Centers has announced the addition of Daniel Ryan to their EB-5 Investor Relations department. With 30 years of experience in venture finance, international private equity, organizational development, and management consulting, Ryan will contribute his rich background in international business development. He previously worked as Managing Director- Emerging Markets with an EB-5 Regional Center and Private Equity Fund Manager based in Tampa, Florida.
KLASKO CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY
Since its formation as a firm in 2004, Klasko Immigration Law Partners has grown from four to nine partners, from 30 employees to over 110, from offices in two cities to offices in three cities and employees in 19 states. The firm is now celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Mark Feriante is the former Manager of the Development and Community Advisory Services—Capital Formation Team at Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP (Baker Tilly). With over 11 years of experience in the EB-5 industry, he brings his experience in developing economic and business plan consulting for primarily real estate projects, having helped raise over $3 billion in EB-5 capital.
BAI CAPITAL VIETNAM APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR
BAI Capital has appointed Iván Rodríguez as the director of its Vietnam Office. Previously, he served as the VP of International Business Development at BAI Capital. This real estate developer primarily focuses on residential, commercial (hotels), and mixed-use residential developments in Florida.
NEW ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY JOINS GALATI LAW
The Galati Law Firm hired Alexandra (Alex) George Santhanam as associate attorney position for mandamus, denial, unreasonable delay, FOIA, and other litigation matters. She previously worked for a litigation boutique and a law firm in Chicago.
