Former DOJ litigators form new federal immigration litigation law firm

Jess Ariela Dawger is a former Associate Deputy Attorney General at DOJ, and Sarah Lake is a former Assistant Director to the DOJ’s Office of Immigration Litigation. They founded Ariela Lake Law & Consulting PLLC in 2026, with offices in Denver, Colorado; Washington, D.C.; and Hermosa Beach, California.

Baker Tilly relocates headquarters to NYC

Baker Tilly has announced an agreement to acquire Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP, a prominent accounting, tax, and advisory firm based in New York. This transaction expands its footprint in New York City, where Baker Tilly will have its headquarters.
