David Hirson assigns new leadership and affiliate acquires regional centers

David Hirson & Partners, LLP (DHP) has appointed David Van Vooren as Managing Partner and promoted Claudia Rea to partner of the firm. The company is also in the advanced stages of opening a new office in Beijing, China, further expanding its international reach beyond its offices in California and Washington. Meanwhile, Hirson EB-5 Strategies & Compliance, LLC (HEB5) has acquired 100% and/or controlling interests in regional centers in the West Coast, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona; a regional center covering Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma; and a regional center spanning Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and Tennessee.

New Senior Attorney Joins Bradley’s EB-5 Team

Krishan Patel has joined Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP as a Senior Attorney in the Real Estate Practice Group. With extensive experience in real estate transactions and EB-5 immigration matters, Patel previously worked at the Patel Law Group. His experience in investor-driven real estate projects will enhance Bradley’s capabilities in the EB-5 space.

CanAm welcomes new team members

CanAm Enterprises has announced the addition of two new professionals to its team. Richard Li joins as Finance and Accounting Manager, bringing a background in financial operations, strategic reporting, and compliance oversight. He will support CanAm’s continued focus on transparency and sound financial management. Richel Gomez joins as Associate, Client & Data Coordinator. In this role, she will assist in maintaining investor records, enhancing client communications, and supporting data integrity across platforms.

Carolyn Lee expands team

Carolyn Lee PLLC has been expanding her team since last summer, including senior attorney Lindsay Schoonmaker and additional paralegals and administrative staff.

New attorneys join Klasko Law’s DC office

Anabel Nataros, Duncan Fulton, and Stacy Shore recently joined Klasko Immigration Law Partners’ Washington D.C. office. Nataros, a Senior Associate, advises on employment-based immigration such as H-1B, PERM, and L-1. Fulton, also a Senior Associate, comes from the U.S. Department of Justice, where he was a federal litigator in the Office of Immigration Litigation. Shore will lead strategic efforts, working with government agencies and advising on complex immigration issues.

Metropolitan Commercial Bank was recognized with the “Editors’ Choice” Award at the Banking Tech Awards USA.

Peachtree secures new regional centers, opens office in Texas, and promotes new lead

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services approved four new Peachtree Group regional centers: Peachtree South Regional Center, Peachtree Northeast Regional Center, Peachtree Midwest Regional Center, and Peachtree West Regional Center. The firm is also expanding its national presence with the opening of its first office outside of its Atlanta headquarters in downtown Austin, Texas, due to investments in the city, Dallas, and San Antonio. Peachtree also promoted Jared Schlosser to head of originations for all commercial real estate and hotel lending, besides his role as head of the firm’s Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy lending program.

Saul Ewing establishes work groups and hires new counsel

Saul Ewing’s EB-5 Practice Group has developed a Pre-Immigration Tax Planning Group, led by David G. Shapiro and Jamihlia Johnson, in response to the growing interest among investors in understanding pre-immigration tax planning before entering the U.S. as residents. Additionally, the firm has established a Real Estate Group for loan transactions, which includes Jon Grizel, Teofilo Victoria, Tara P. Carver, and Matthew McGinnis. The company also hired multilingual corporate attorney Maja Ilic to assist in SEC compliance matters.

WAL celebrates 350th filing of an I-526 form and new office

Wong & Associates, Lawyers (WAL) successfully filed its 350th I-526E petition in April 2025 since the enactment of the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022. To further support their expanding international client base, WAL has also signed a lease for a new representative office in Futian CBD, Shenzhen, China.

Miki Kawashima Matrician has been elected to the AILA Board of Governors while Dan Mranci was appointed Vice Chair of AILA’s Technology Committee.

Cheikh Moussa Ndiaye has been appointed US Immigration Fund’s new Head of EMEA. He has background in international business development and investor relations.
