Rogelio J. Carrasquillo is a securities attorney and the founder of Carrasquillo Law Group, PC located in New York. He leads the company’s EB-5 practice and manages the compliance and Qualified Opportunity Zones practice groups.
Carrasquillo is experienced in representing developers who use EB-5 funding as a source of capital, and helping EB-5 regional centers obtain USCIS designation. He has expertise in projects that deal with partnerships, as well as other economic opportunities utilizing EB-5 financing. He also assists his clients in the establishment of Qualified Opportunity Zone Funds and the operation of Opportunity Zones funding.
Carrasquillo consults on acquisitions, corporate governance and finance, joint ventures, real estate transactions and infrastructure development in Puerto Rico and other parts of the Latin American region. He provides guidance to domestic and international clients, including high net worth individuals who seek to relocate to Puerto Rico and who want to be informed about available incentives under Puerto Rican economic tax opportunities. He also assists his clients in security law matters, including equity and debt offerings, as well as transactions that are not subject to the registration requirements of the U.S. securities laws.
Prior to founding Carrasquillo Law Group, he worked with many international law firms in New York, Puerto Rico and Shanghai.
Carrasquillo has a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a Bachelor of Science in foreign services from Georgetown University. He is authorized to practice law in New York and Puerto Rico.
Carrasquillo is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.
