Mark Welch

Mark Welch is an Australian registered migration agent based in the United Kingdom, and the founder of Cargil Migration, a specialized Australian law firm that has offered global migration services since its establishment in 2002.

Welch is well-versed in the Business Innovation Stream, Investor Stream, the Employer Sponsored and Business Talent visa programs (such as the Venture Capital Entrepreneur Scheme), as well as family-based visas, skilled visas and temporary visas. His career has involved him managing Employer Nomination Schemes (ENS) for some of the world’s most well-known and successful businesses, as well as with smaller scale businesses across various industries. Welch has assisted clients in the sectors of technology, finance, engineering, oil and gas, professional services, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and pharmaceutical.

Welch’s client base has included U.K. and European businesses interested in entering the Australian market, as well as companies already established but in need of talented foreign workers to expand business in Australia. Welch has also advised hundreds of workers seeking General Skilled Migration Visas, as well as those seeking assistance with family migration programs, including partners and parents of Australian citizens as well as permanent residents of Australia and citizens of New Zealand. His experience covers a variety of other visa programs, including Student visas, the Working Holiday Maker program, Distinguished Talent visas and Resident Return visas.

Before establishing Cargil Migration, Welch provided individual, corporate and investor immigration services throughout the U.K., Australia and Europe. He also played a key role in the establishment of a Global Shared Service Centre.

Thanks to his vast knowledge of the industry, Welch has been invited to speak at the Tax Institute (Australia) and the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI). He has also contributed to the International Human Resource Management course at the University of Sydney Business School. In addition to being a MARA-registered migration agent, Welch also serves as a member of the Migration Alliance.
