I am from Nigeria with a pending I-526 petition filed last August. Last week the Trump administration announced that it would exert new restrictions on immigrants coming from Nigeria. With this new policy, what will happen to my EB-5 case? If the case is approved, will I be able to obtain an EB-5 visa?

EB-5 Immigration attorneysThere is no reason why your I-526 case should be negatively affected. Just as well, unless there is any basis for inadmissibility, the new rules should not be a bar for securing an EB-5 visa.

EB-5 Immigration attorneysI would recommend not traveling until the I-829 is approved and new green card issued. I have not heard of this affecting persons in the U.S. but this could change.
