I just got an update in my USCIS account regarding my H-1B visa RFE, stating that a notice explaining actions was mailed. My lawyer had previously indicated that I should expect a decision soon, with no additional notices. This update is unexpected and has me worried.

EB-5 Immigration attorneysHard to know whether it is worrisome until you see it. Make sure your attorney is onboard to send to you as soon as it is received so you can work on the response.

EB-5 Immigration attorneysUSCIS sends out notices via mail stating the decision on the case or requesting additional information/documentation. You should receive the notice via mail within 7-10 business days.

EB-5 Immigration attorneysDon’t panic. USCIS sends a “notice explaining actions” to inform you of a change in the status of your case, and it’s not always bad news.
Wait for the physical notice. Only the mailed letter will tell you the specific outcome or next steps.
