Where can I obtain help for the EB-5 legal source of funds report?

I am in China. Due to the time difference, language, culture, etc., I would prefer to communicate with local entities for my legal source of funds. But I don't know where to find them and how to choose one of them. Who prepares the legal source of funds report? What should I pay attention to when I select those entities to prepare my report?

It is in your best interest that you retain legal services of an experienced EB-5 immigration attorney in the United States. He or she will be able to prepare your I-526 petition and guide you through the process of obtaining evidence establishing your lawful source of funds for EB-5 investment.

We, as U.S. immigration attorneys, will work with Chinese migration agents or interpreters on a Chinese investor's source of funds. You definitely want a U.S. immigration attorney to prepare the source of funds for the I-526 petition.

I suggest, with changes in the law, you find someone knowledgeable as to what will be required in the future. Some attorneys work late so as to accommodate China time.

Generally, there are multiple sources for proving that your funds come from legal source(s). Among them are your local banks where you have consistently saved the funds, letter(s) from employers detailing your earnings (preferably annual earnings), tax returns you filed for taxes, and if you borrowed the funds, your sources of the funds must be from a legal source just to name a few procedures. In preparing your legal source fund details/letters, it is advisable to contact an immigration attorney familiar with this aspect of EB-5 for guidance.

You can find the agencies in China everywhere in China. Actually, we generally suggest for clients to look for U.S. attorneys to prepare the legal source fund report, as they know more about what USCIS likes and dislikes.

Due to the country-specific issues that the investors from China have, such as under-reported tax, foreign currency exchange control, etc., tracing the legal source of funds for Chinese clients requires a comprehensive understanding of the Chinese business and legal culture.
