When will the EB-5 set-aside categories have a backlog?

I am studying for a residency visa in the U.S. through the EB-5 program, but I am concerned that I am running out of time. From what I’ve been reading, the new categories that were created a few years ago have not reached their visa limits this year. But due to high demand, I am afraid by the time I end up starting my application process next year, there will be no more of these visas available, and will have to wait a long time. Are these special set aside EB-5 visas going to run out soon?

No one knows – it depends on how many people apply before you do and each year in October the numbers will increase with the new annual allocation.

If you chargeable to China or India, you would be wise to start sooner rather than wait.

For Chinese and Indians, it may be a matter of months, but slow processing has kept the categories open at least for the next few months.
