When will the EB-5 dependents receive the invoices for their visa processing fees? - EB5Investors.com

When will the EB-5 dependents receive the invoices for their visa processing fees?

I received my I-526 approval two months ago and paid the visa processing fees for me and my dependents as the national visa center (NVC) instructed. I have received the invoice, but my dependents have not received theirs. Should we reach out to the NVC to request them? We were told we need to bring the invoices to the interview.

You indicated you paid the visa processing fees for yourself and your dependents as the National Visa Center (NVC) instructed. You also indicate you have received the invoice, but not your dependents and you were told you need to bring the invoices to the interview. Are you referring to receipts of payment? If it is not received, you should absolutely reach out to NVC. Proof of payment of visa fees is required.

You should reach out to the national visa center to avoid further delay. Generally, the NVC should have sent the invoice of the entire family at the same time.

If you received invoices and paid the processing fees, what other invoices are you referring to? It is also unusual to be asked to bring invoices to an interview.

You or your attorney have to contact the NVC, provide them with the passports, birth certificates (or, if a spouse, the marriage certificate) of any dependent showing relationship to you, the principal applicant. You should request the invoices from the NVC prior to the interview (and pay them) because your dependents will not automatically be scheduled for their immigrant visa interviews with you unless the invoices are paid first and all other procedures are properly followed. Contact an experienced EB-5 immigration attorney for assistance.

You only get one invoice if your dependents were on the same application/I-526. However, if you are not sure, then it would be a good idea to contact NVC or go to the State Department website for specific instruction.

You are right. You or your attorney should reach out to NVC and request the invoices so that you can go ahead and get them processed for the immigrant visa.

Generally, the NVC letter will contain all invoices for you and dependents. You indicated you have already paid immigrant visa processing fees for you and dependents. You do not need to bring invoices. You need to bring DS-260 filing confirmation pages and originals of civil documents to your visa interview. Your attorney should submit everything else to NVC and NVC schedules your immigrant visa interview after it has processed the documents.

Yes, even though you put the names and information of the dependents in the I-526, the NVC only sends invoices for the primary. You need to specifically request invoices for them so you can prepare all applicants at once.

Yes, you will need to contact NVC regarding your dependents. In order for them to be processed for the immigrant visa, they will need to receive the invoice and pay the fees.

Do you mean you didn&#39t get a receipt for the fees paid instead of an invoice? You couldn&#39t have paid the fees if invoices - actually called NVC fee bills - were not issued. You can get all documents needed from your ceac site. Have your attorney look into this.

Yes, reach out to NVC to request them. They often forget the dependents.
