On the DS-260 form for our spousal visa application, it asks “Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa, been refused admission to the United States, or withdrawn your application for admission at the point of entry? ” We answered NO because we thought the question pertained to just spousal visas. But my spouse was refused a visitor visa before. Will it still effect her visa issuance? We are worried and di not intend to give false answers.

Find an EB-5 Visa Lawyer: Immigration AttorneyYou can bring up the "mistake" at the start of your immigrant visa interview before the consular officer asks you any questions. You should be honest and truthful about what happened, maybe even bring evidence or a signed declaration saying that you wish to amend/correct your DS-260 form. This will show them that it was not your intention to mislead and that you did not "knowingly" provide any false information.
