What is the timeline of obtaining a reentry permit?

I obtained my conditional green card through the EB-5 program. I filed the I-131 application on Oct. 31, 2019. When will I receive my biometrics appointment notice? When can I receive the reentry permit?

Biometrics appointments are usually pretty quick, one month or so after USCIS receives the case. It says four to six months for processing according to the USCIS case processing times Web page.

Receipts will be issued in about 10 days; biometrics are usually scheduled in 3 weeks. Some biometrics centers will fingerprint you based on the receipt with proof of the need to travel. A reentry permit itself will take about four months but can be sent to you overseas.

You can travel in and out of the U.S. on your conditional permanent residency. If you are not away from the U.S. for more than six months, this will reduce the risk of the USCBP inspectors asking questions about your intent to maintain U.S. residency. The reentry permit may take several months for approval and issuance to you.
