I understand the need for rigour and accuracy when giving US visas, and that this may slow the process. But I would like to know what part of the application will take longer so I can plan accordingly, as my children are still in school. If we are to apply from Bangladesh through the consulate, will that part take longer? Or is getting the actual visa the longest?

EB-5 Immigration attorneysAs Bangladesh is on the list of 75 count6 whose visas are paused by the Trump administration, the visa stage is likely to be the slowest. If you are in the U.S., adjustment of status would be preferred.

EB-5 Immigration attorneysIf you are lawfully in the US and eligible to apply to adjust status, that is the best option. The alternative is to file your petition now in the US and wait in Bangladesh for the final interview and anticipate that will take at least 2-3+ years unless we get retrogression in what is referred to as Rest of the World, presently that means other than China or India.
