What is the current EB-5-based I-485 processing time?

What is the current wait time for EB-5 based I-485 to get approved? I noticed that the California Service Center has the estimated processing time between five to 50 months, but other service centers and offices have process time between five to 23.5 months. I am currently live in Georgia. Does that mean I will be assigned to California Service Center and wait for possibly 50 months?

The most common and current processing time is between 5 to 24 months. However, rather than asking about general processing time, pay attention to preparing a very good, complete and approvable I-485 package before you file your application with the USCIS. Some applicants do not do a good job and have caused significant delays for some applications.

The posted processing times are very unreliable and seem to depend more on the processing time for your local district office so check that and not the service center for Georgia. It would be Atlanta most likely although some northern counties are sometimes sent to Birmingham. Showing 7-23.5 months right now. Check your case status to see how we process cases.

At the present time, I advise clients to expect at least one to two years but processing times seems to get worse all the time.

To me, I see that I-526 applicants file their cases with either Arizona or Texas. USCIS has been trying to share the burden across multiple service centers and your receipt notice will indicate which center gets it. They also have been moving cases from one center to another to ease the burdens.
