What if I withdraw my I-829 application to obtain an L-1 visa?

I’m getting an I-551 stamp every year as my I-829 application is pending and my conditional green card and extension form expired. Since my EB-5 project was already removed from the USCIS official website and confirmed a failure, I have left the US and will do L-1 later. Before I apply for L-1, should I withdraw the I-829 application? Would I lose the LPR status from the date the USCIS receives the withdrawal letter from my attorney or later when an officer processes the withdrawal and sends out a confirmation letter to me?

You need to withdraw the I-829 and file an I-407 to surrender your green card., the surrender date is the day they receive the I-407.

You will need to file an I-407 to abandon your current green card. You can also withdraw the I-829 to avoid a denial if you expect this.
