What if I decide to switch EB-5 projects mid-application?

I am looking at different options of EB-5 projects with regional centers, many of which are very attractive. I am concerned for the safety of my money and the reputation of the regional center. I understand I need to make a decision to apply, but what if my regional center behaves in a way that affects my application? Can I switch projects while I’m still applying?

You can switch projects before you file the Form I-526E. If you switch projects after, you need to withdraw your petition and refile a new form I-526E.

There are rules about redeployment to allow this but they are complicated.

Under RIA, if the regional center's project fails, the investor can switch to the other regional center's project within 12 months.
