What happens to my E-2 essential employee when I file for AOS?

If I have an E-2 essential employee, what happens to the employee if I file for my adjustment of status (I-485)? Does he lose his status? My E-2 status will still be valid while I file the AOS, but no more than 1 year after filing for AOS. So, maybe he will lose his status when mine expires?

Yes, he will lose his status when you become a lawful permanent resident (LPR); and might consider filing as a manager or EB-5 investor or other nonimmigrant status before your adjustment is approved.
