I have so many questions about the EB-5 program. What do I need to know before investing in the EB-5 visa? How can I make sure my investment meets all the obligations? Is it necessary for me to hire an attorney, or can I do the process myself? Or should I wait for the regional center to guide me through the process?

EB-5 Immigration attorneysI recommend you have counsel as well to represent you in the immigration process. That is not the Regional Center’s job – they are handling the money and building the project, creating jobs etc. if doing things properly; but not getting you permanent residency status. The attorney will be on your side in dealings with the Regional Center, help you think of questions to ask (they cannot advise whether it is a good investment decision for you but there are agents you can hire to provide the financial analysis. The attorney will work with you to show your lawful source of investment funds, help you decide where to process the second part of your application, advise on any issues with your dependents, maintenance of immigration status and related issues.

EB-5 Immigration attorneysThe most important part of the process is to find a good project where you get your green card and can get your money back. It's not about hiring an attorney or not, it’s about hiring the right attorney. Regional Centers have to focus on their interest, which is to find investors.

EB-5 Immigration attorneysYou need an EB-5 attorney, preferably one who will guide you through the entire EB-5 process and who is not affiliated with the regional center. You need independent counsel to successfully complete the EB5 process.
