What does an asylee with a pending asylum case need to leave the U.S. for a vacation and re-enter?

I am an asylee from Pakistan. My asylum case is still pending and I have been in the U.S. since 2013. Can I now apply for a travel document to travel to Japan for vacation purposes? I plan on staying for a week. Would I just need to file Form I-131 or have a returning permit, as well? If not these documents, what would I need to file in my case?

You are not yet an asylee if still pending. An asylee can get a travel document. I doubt you can. May have to go to Hawaii if you want a nice vacation. If you leave, you will likely abandon and not be able to return.
