Should my EB-5 petition have been approved if I filed in January 2024?

What is the general timeline for an I-526 approval for a standalone or direct investment right now? I applied in January 2024, and my status is still current. I even had my EAD approved within 4 months. Should I have had the I-526 approved already and sent out as per the investment plan mentioned in the business plan? My attorney says the delays are expected, but it’s been a year.

One year is not a cause for concern. There is no clear pattern. We see cases taking 6 months and other taking years.

You can see the case processing times for your type of I-526.
