Unfortunately, the generalization is that not all fund managers can manage the funds. Your fund manager should know that it will become a co-management scheme with a complying fund; I believe that will be easiest. Maybe in the 2nd fund, once your fund manager understands the compliance components, he will be able to establish a complying fund of his own for customers like you.
The investment fund manager should have an Australian Financial Services license and needs to be located in Australia. Because of the complexity of compliance issues, it is advisable to use a fund manager with experience in SIV applications to avoid any problems.
