When can I as an Indian native expect an approval of my I-526 petition?

The Immigrant Investor Program Office (USCIS-IPO) is adjudicating I-526 petitions based upon an immigrant visa number availability approach, but it also uses its resources to bundle certain petitions and transfer workloads between officers and teams in a manner that makes it difficult to predict the actual processing time for a given case. Current average processing times are about 30 months, so your petition is likely to be adjudicated slightly earlier or later than that average processing time.

The new policy for prioritizing applicants from countries with currently available green cards means you should expect the normal I-526 processing times. I know, India has flirted with retrogression in recent years but it has been current lately.

Most cases take about 2 years but some are taking longer. If India backlogs as it will likely do so soon, then it could take longer as it will go into the slower backlog line.
