My EB-5 application is finally moving forward now that adjustment of status has been approved. I want to know how soon could I get my permanent green card once USCIs reviews the I-829 form.

Immigration attorneysCan only file the I-829 21 months after conditional green card is approved and many have been talking a long time such that we have had to file mandamus actions for unreasonable delay on the I-829. Otherwise generally they can take about another 2 + years.

Immigration attorneysThe processing times for I-829 applications ranges therefore I cannot give you a definitive answer on how quickly you can obtain your Permanent U.S. Residency (Green Card). Although when you file your I-829 application, you will receive an I-829 receipt notice which automatically extends your Conditional U.S. Residency for 48 months while USCIS reviews your I-829 application meaning that you can continue to work and travel while it is processing.

Immigration attorneysUsually a week or two if the I-829; if I-526 approval then that is a different process for conditional PR.

Immigration attorneysThat's good news—congratulations! Once your Adjustment of Status (I-485) is approved, you should receive your conditional permanent resident card (valid for two years) within a few weeks. Approval of Form I-829 will remove those conditions and grant you a permanent Green Card valid for 10 years. Once the I-829 is approved, USCIS typically produces and mails the permanent (10-year) Green Card within a few weeks.
Currently, the processing time for Form I-829 (Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident Status) at the Immigrant Investor Program Office is approximately 45.5 months for 80% of cases as of April 22, 2025. You can always check your case status online at:
