How long in advance can an EB-5 investor apply to extend his status with a pending I-829?
I recently submitted my I-829 application and got an I-797 receipt that extended my conditional status for 18 months. Since it takes a long time for an I-829 application to get processed, I might need to extend my status again. How long in advance do I need to start the renewal process of my status?

Immigration AttorneyAnswered onAbout 30 days before expiration you should call USCIS and set up an INFOPASS to get a stamp extending evidence of status.

Immigration AttorneyAnswered onYou are a conditional permanent resident while your I-829 petition is pending.

Immigration AttorneyAnswered onYour status is not impacted by the receipt. This is merely proof of your pending application. You should apply at least 60 days before for temporary evidence of your permanent residence, especially if you plan to travel.

Immigration AttorneyAnswered onThis is generally done at your local USCIS field office via an InfoPass appointment. Usually, doing things like this can be done within 90 days of the expiration.
