How long after filing the I-526E petition should EB-5 applicants get their receipt notices?

I filed my I-526E petition on November 2. I’ve received the first notice, confirming payment of the fee, but to this day I have not received the actual receipt notice. I’ve spoken to a few other EB-5 investors who filed around the same time I did, and no one has received their notice, either. Are receipt notices normally this slow to generate? When should I expect to receive it, do I need to take any steps?

Receipt notices arrive in 2-4 weeks for most cases but may take a longer time frame. Your check payment would generally have your USCIS case number on the back when it clears your bank and you may contact USCIS customer service or make an e-request.

From time to time, they do get substantially backlogged on Receipt issuance. If you have the courier receipt, I would give it another couple of weeks. You can also send an inquiry to Lockbox Support with your courier and other identifying information.
