How important is a resume for the EB-5 investment process?

What is expected in an EB-5 resume and how many words should it be? Also, is a resume required or optional for EB-5? Do the derivatives need to also submit resumes or only the EB-5 investor?

It is optional to submit a resume. In my opinion, it helps the adjudicator officer have a better picture of the investor/entrepreneur. You do not need to submit resumes for the dependents.

A resume is not a requirement when applying to invest in an EB-5 project.

A resume is not required. However, your attorney may require your, the Petitioner, to provide a resume to let the adjudicator know your background and how you have accumulated your wealth.

A resume is perhaps useful for to help show your source of funds if your investment is based on your salary. Otherwise, it is not required.

For EB-5 purposes, a resume is not a required document; definitely not for the derivative dependents. You may be referring to a direct investment filing, where a resume/bio of the EB-5 investor is provided to show management capabilities and experience of the investor, detailing his/her capability to actually operate the business, etc.

A resume for an EB-5 investor is optional. You may add it if an EB-5 investor has any business or investment experience or training. It generally should list relevant experience, education and relevant skills. It does not need to be any particular length but should generally fit within a single page.

It is optional but often helpful to present the total picture regarding your ability to raise legitimate funds and, in some instances, to show how the applicant is qualified for the position.
