How does the US travel ban affect my EB-5 green card?

US travel ban impacts EB-5 visa applications.

I worry about the US travel ban. In January, I applied for the EB-5 visa through a regional center project in Florida. Submitted all the paperwork; have received the notice that my application is formally being processed. I hold an Iranian passport, but I have lived in the UAE for almost all of my adult life.

My concern is that my application will be rejected based solely on my nationality because of this US travel ban. My attorney has confirmed that my application meets the requirements, so I will not be rejected based on my nationality. I would like to know your opinion on the matter. Thank you.

If you have met the EB-5 requirements, your I-526E petition should be good. However, whether you will be issued an immigrant visa at the Consulate may be an uncertainty because of the recent ban.
