How could I invest in the Gold Card visa program?

How could I start preparing for the U.S. gold card for when it comes out? I have a very successful manufacturing business and would like to apply.

The new Gold Card visa program was announced by the President on February 25, 2025, and has not yet been implemented. Unfortunately, it is too soon to invest in any Gold Card investment opportunity (Watch Out for Scams!). The new Gold Card program will resemble today's EB-5 visa program in the sense that they are both residency-by-investment programs. The hard facts we know right now are: (a) The minimum investment threshold for the Gold Card program will be US$5,000,000. (b) Gold Card applicants will be subject to background vetting and normal visa admissibility procedures. Features that have been mentioned, but not yet clear, include: (c) There may be a job-creation requirement. (d) Some or all of the investment funds may be paid directly to the U.S. government to reduce U.S. deficits. (e) Gold Card holders will receive exemption from U.S. taxation on global income. We will need to wait for more details from the White House.

There are no rules out yet and no one knows if there will be.

We are still waiting on the details of the program and the process to be announced by the government.

Currently, there are few details and the plan may never come to fruition. As like the current EB5, the dollar amount would be 5 million minimum. If you have 5, why aren't you doing the Eb5 which would only require 1.8 million? If it ever become law, then regulations by DHS would have to be written to implement it. As long as you can show that you earned the investment lawfully and you do not have a criminal record or some type of record that bars you from entering America you should be fine.

Details about the program have not been released yet. Monitor the news regarding the program to see what the requirements will be, other than putting aside $5 million dollars for the fee. I am following the program very closely and welcome your questions.

As of today, Trump administration has not announced details of the gold card program, so you have to wait until the details are published.
