My family’s I-829 application has been denied, and we filed an I-290B as advised by our lawyer. We have been using the I-551 stamp to work and travel, but we are wondering if we can obtain a new stamp from USCIS if the current one is about to expire. Additionally, can we remain in the U.S. while waiting for the processing of the I-290B?

Avoid international travel as likely to trigger a Notice to Appear in court.
