How can I transfer my money from Vietnam for my EB-5 investment?

Transferring money from Vietnam to another country has become very difficult. The country’s regulation on the matter demands a lot of paperwork. Can I use this same paperwork in my EB-5 application to justify my funds? Also, the U.S. has become very stringent regarding Vietnam funds transfers, and fewer banks in Vietnam handle these operations, so the service is becoming even more expensive than usual. Is there a better way to transfer my capital from my Vietnamese bank?

You have to carefully ensure that transfers are handled only by licensed money exchangers out of Vietnam.

I would suggest checking with other Vietnamese nationals who have been able to navigate this maybe through a third country. Also get the “rules” from your bank on international transfers. I believe that sometimes the transfers are done as commercial transfers from your business.

All funds transfers for the purposes of EB-5 must comply with the requirements of the country from which you are making such transfers. The documents you need to provide to be allowed to transfer the money out of Vietnam may be used in your EB-5 petition if they are relevant to your source of funds.
